１２ｆｔ５番のフェルールモデル、ソリッドのダブルハンドバンブーロッドです。

日本ではまだあまり知られていないようですが、近年、アメリカ及びカナダでのステイールヘッドの釣りにおいて12ft以下という長さがダブルハンドでのバンブーロッドでは一般的になりつつあります。特にサマーランの釣りにおいては、12ft以下の５番や６番といったロッドが多いです。

このロッドは本流及び湖で割と手前側を静かに釣るようにデザイン、作成致しました。
キャステイングスキルがあれば勿論遠投も可能です。

ライン指定は５番ですが、６番もラインによっては使用可能です。６番の場合シルクラインを含めまして２０グラム（３１０グレイン）のヘッドまでならお使い頂けます。それ以上は使用しないで下さい。スカジットキャストにも使わないで下さい。

フェルールはクラシックスポーツのスーパー・Ｚ・フェルールを使用しています。（バットセクションのみ）これだけで１万円ちょっとします。

ブランクはフレームフィニッシュです。

ガイドはストリッピングがアゲートガイド、他はゴールドのシングルフットです。

３ｐｃでテイップは２テイップですので交互にお使い下さい。
フックキーパーはゴールドのフックキーパーです。

ラッピングの糸はシルクを使用しています。

シングルフットのガイドの固定につきまして

軽量化と素直なロッドアクションを再現する為にシングルフットのガイドを使用しています。

固定には非常に強力な接着剤を使用しております。接着まで２４時間掛かります。これだけで制作作業は一晩以上中断です。

ラッピング無しでも使用出来る強度がございます。

実際に過去に低番手ですが軽量化とテストの為、ラッピング無しの物を作成し、キャステイング、何匹もランデイングしましたがガイドが外れることは１度もありませんでした。それ位強度がある接着剤を使用して固定しています。勿論接着剤の値段も高いです。
又、本来、ガイドというのは１か所だけにストレスが掛かるものではございません。実際には竿も曲がり力が吸収され、カーブを描いたロッドへの力はラインを通して各ガイドに分散されます。
さらにラッピングしてコーティングしてありますのでかなりの強度がございます。

よほど無理をしてガイド自体を引っ張ったりしない限りガイドが抜けることはありませんのでご安心してご使用下さい。

こちらのモデルでは、バールのコルクの使用を必要最小限のアクセント程度にし、メインのコルクはポルトガル産の最上級クラスのFlorグレードの物を使用して軽量化しています。リールシートはロングフット対応のダウンロックのコルクになります。ファイティングバットもアルミとラバーの使用は辞めて、コルクで軽量化しています。

アクションはスローアクションで昔ながらのスペイアクションです。海外で言うヌードルというアクションです。

このロッドはスローアクションですので早いラインスピードでキャストしたい方には向きません。

ウエットの釣りにおいて非常にフッキングに優れたアクションになります。

ドライフライの場合には５番のシングルハンドスペイラインが向いています。
アンダーハンドですと、SAのOH&DのSWT：スイッチ6番(20g)或いはそれ以下、がマッチ致します。

オーバーヘッドでもご利用頂けます。

フェルールの抜き差しにつきまして。

決して捩じらずに真っ直ぐに抜き差しして下さい。

This is a 12ft 5 weight ferrule model solid double-handed bamboo rod.

It seems that it is not well known in Japan yet, but in recent years, in the United States and Canada, double-handed bamboo rods of 12ft or less are becoming common for steelhead fishing. Especially for summer run fishing, there are many 5 or 6 weight rods of 12ft or less.

This rod was designed and created to be used for quiet fishing in the main stream or lake.

Of course, if you have casting skills, you can cast far.

The line specified is 5, but 6 weight can also be used depending on the line. In the case of 6, you can use up to 20 grams (310 grains) of head including silk line. Do not use more than that. Do not use it for Skagit cast.

The ferrule uses Classic Sports Super Z ferrule. (Butt section only) This alone costs a little over 10,000 yen. The blank is frame finished.

The stripping guides are agate guides, and the others are gold single-foot guides. There are 3 pieces and 2 tips, so please use them alternately.
The hook keeper is a gold hook keeper. The wrapping thread is silk.
Regarding the fixing of the single-foot guide, we use single-foot guides to reduce weight and reproduce a straightforward rod action. We use a very strong adhesive to fix them. It takes 24 hours to glue them. This alone will stop production work for more than one night. They are strong enough to be used without wrapping. In fact, in the past, we created a low-numbered lure without wrapping for weight reduction and testing, and cast and landed many fish, but the guide never came off. We use an adhesive that is that strong to fix them. Of course, the adhesive is expensive.
Also, guides are not originally meant to be stressed in only one place. In fact, the rod also absorbs bending forces, and the force on the curved rod is distributed to each guide through the line.
In addition, it is wrapped and coated, so it is quite strong. Please rest assured that the guide will not come out unless you pull the guide itself with excessive force.

In this model, the use of cork on the burl is kept to a minimum, and the main cork is made of the highest grade Flor cork from Portugal to reduce weight. The reel seat is a down-lock cork that is compatible with long feet. The fighting butt has also been made lighter by using cork instead of aluminum and rubber.

The action is a slow, old-fashioned spey action. This is what is called a noodle action overseas. This rod is a slow action, so it is not suitable for those who want to cast at a fast line speed. It has an action that is very good for hooking when fishing wet. For dry flies, a single-handed spey line of No. 5 is suitable.

For underhand fishing, SA's OH&D SWT: Switch 6weight (20g) or less is a good match. It can also be used overhead.

Regarding the insertion and removal of the ferrule. Insert and remove it straight without twisting it.
